Riverside Retreat

2020

Our site in Digbeth is a brownfield site. In order to develop our scheme the land must be cleared of its buildings. This leads to a large amount of waste material and whilst some may be crushed and reused, most will end up in land fill.
I explore whether brickwork could be reused in an altered form, in a similar way to the limestone davy blocks – a waste material re-manufactured.
