Mushi

2020
Mushi is a collection of vessels which utilise paper. Through previous exploration it was discovered how interesting and adaptive this material could be, but also how much more paper is being used to replace plastics. If everyone recycled 10% more paper, 5 million trees would be saved. Mushi aims to increase awareness of statistics such as these, to encourage others to consider their paper usage and utilise it in a more sustainable way.
My name is Kay Thompson and I have just finished my BA in Product and Furniture Design.
I would class myself as a designer-maker as I am very driven by material exploration and hand-crafted work.
