Beormingas Urbs Viridis

This design of a multi-functional outdoor space in Birmingham aims to improve the quality of life within the city centre, creating active inhabitable landscapes. The design integrates landscape and architecture through strategies exploring ground planes, rooftops and vertical surfaces. This dynamic place instils the sense of community through inclusive activities such as urban agriculture, sports and events. The city centre’s ecology will be restored with pollinator-friendly planting to create new habitats that will enhance the air quality and improve citizens’ physical and mental well’being.
